1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Kanbango (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users of Kanbango, including those on the Free tier and paid plans.

2. Description of the Service

Kanbango is a project management tool for solo developers. It provides Kanban boards, markdown notes, an encrypted credential vault, and AI-assisted task generation. The Service is provided by Kanbango (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Upload, transmit, or store content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create in Kanbango, including project data, tasks, notes, and stored credentials. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you store in the Service, including credentials belonging to third-party services.

6. Subscription and Billing

Kanbango offers a Free tier and paid plans (Standard and Pro). Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes.

7. AI Features

The AI task generation feature uses Google Gemini to generate content based on your project name and type. AI-generated content is provided as-is and should be treated as a starting point. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, suitability, or completeness of AI-generated tasks.

By using AI features, your project name and type may be sent to Google as part of the API request. Please review Google's AI usage policies for more information.

8. Availability and Support

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily limits access. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kanbango is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration.
